Situated just off Canal Street, NSB's 'mainland downtown', has a casual, artsy vibe and a surprisingly delightful lunch menu. It's calm and the wifi works consistently. One of the only drawbacks is the limited hours of operation, not open until late morning and then closing up at 4PM.

We stopped by Café Del Soul for a mid-morning snack. They offered a free sample of their decaf chai tea. It is rare to find a good decaf chai tea, and it was delicious. I am ordering it next time for sure, but this time I wanted to try the ginger lemonade. It had the right amount of spice and was very refreshing. We also shared a hummus plate, which was light and full of flavor. The café has a cozy California vibe that feels comfortable, bright, and easy to stay for a while. It is the kind of place where you could sit and read, catch up with a friend, or even have a small meeting. They have many healthy options, and I cannot wait to go back and try more from their menu. It is a great local spot to visit in New Smyrna Beach.

I had a visit to my acupuncturist and afterward, I asked for a recommendation for a "smoothie". He recommended Cafe del Soul. I walked in there and loved their menu...so many healthy wrap options, great smoothies, quinoa abunda...appetizers of sorts (little starters). They have vegan, vegetarian, gluten free options and many items contain organic ingredients. They also have an option to add gmo free chicken. Great salad options and vegetable juices as well. They do sell coffee and make their own chai tea, which I intend to try. I will definitely be revisiting.
