This bar, restaurant, and brewery will be pretty boisterous as the evening crowd settles in, but offers a nice chill atmosphere with plenty of seating and friendly service to pair with a strong wifi signal and clean bathrooms if you need somewhere to post up with a laptop for a couple hours.

My boyfriend and I had dinner here yesterday. He uses a wheelchair. There was a wait for a table inside, so we sat at the bar. The hostess suggested sitting outside and mentioned there were heaters, but it was extremely cold, and due to his disability, my boyfriend cannot tolerate cold weather. I went outside to check it out—there was live music and a beautiful lake view, but the heaters were not sufficient to keep the area warm. Once seated at the bar, we ordered food and beers. If you’re visiting The Half Wall for drinks—especially beer—you’ll love it. They have an amazing selection with tons of variety, and it’s a fun atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the prices. The beer mussels were about a 6/10—very salty and the broth was watery. The pork schnitzel was a 4/10: the potatoes were hard and undercooked with no flavor, and the pork was soggy instead of crispy. I paid an extra $3 to substitute a salad (which was actually very good) and $0.50 for ranch dressing, but it took 45 minutes to arrive, at which point I no longer needed it. The bartender seemed extremely stressed. My boyfriend ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and enjoyed it, rating it a 6/10, especially because it included vegetables. Overall, this is a great spot for beers and drinks, but the food is nothing special.

Definitely a beer garden atmosphere. Hard floors and tables so it gets really noisy. That said, the service is great and the food good. Fries look and taste freshly made.

Jenna T was awesome. Great personality and service. Everyone was very welcoming and attentive. All of our food was great and fresh from the nachos and cheese curds, to the salads, coleslaw, poke, and burger. The clearly hand dipped beer battered fish and chips were the best I’ve had in a long time. The draft porter, beers and ciders were all very good. Great dinner for our visit from down south to see family. Prices were reasonable and atmosphere nice too. Very clean. We will be back.
